Augmenting a brand with quality, clarity and trust

It’s easy to feel like a fish out of water when searching for the right motor finance. When the options seem endless, how do you know whether you’re making the right choice?

ALPHERA Financial Services set themselves apart from the competition with one fundamental difference: they’re a motor company, not a bank.

As part of the BMW Group, ALPHERA’s products are developed specifically for vehicles, drivers, and the motor trade. They provide specialist financing options: from new and used to multi-make vehicles. And the team prides themselves on their strong partner relationships, with a network spanning across the UK.

But ALPHERA’s website didn’t reflect the company’s uniqueness. Nor was it user friendly. And their messaging was confusing too. In fact, the overall website was underwhelming and overcomplicated, all at once. 

Our challenge was to create a site as exceptional as the company itself.

After conducting desk, workshop, and audience research, we found ALPHERA were losing customers due to the site’s structure, which was non-functional on mobile devices, with confusing navigation on desktop. Our audit also revealed the site was severely lacking content, with fewer than 200 words on some of the site’s key pages – detrimental to SEO.  

The result? ALPHERA weren’t showing up in the same searches their competitors were. And were losing out on a critical customer base.


We worked closely with the ALPHERA team to establish clear objectives, and to better understand their brand so we could move forward together with confidence.

We produced several modern, on-brand wireframes, meaning the ALPHERA team could see just how their website would look and work before we moved onto building it. We updated the site to Drupal 8, with simple functionality which creates an efficient, flexible and maintainable platform. 

To complement the new structure, we also created new content, with a modernised, on-brand design, and implemented an updated SEO strategy to ensure ALPHERA were maximising their digital presence. And to accompany their new digital strategy, we created print materials aligned with their brand, ensuring they could provide a consistent ALPHERA experience online and in-store.

In collaboration with the ALPHERA team, we created a set of clearly defined goals and KPIs to measure the impact of their new, improved website.

What’s a Rich Text element?

The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.

Static and dynamic content editing

A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!

How to customize formatting for each rich text

Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.
