Michael Wolfe's Hong Kong Series

September 29, 2015

The focus of the great German photographer Michael Wolf's work is life in mega cities, with many of his projects documenting the architecture and vernacular culture of metropolises.

Wolf grew up in Canada, Europe and the United States, studying first at UC Berkeley and then at the Folkwang school in Essen, Germany with Otto Steinert.

Moving to Hong Kong in 1994, he worked as contract photographer for Stern magazine for eight years.

Since 2001, Wolf has been focusing on his own projects, many of which have been published as books.
