South West Water

South West Water came into being in 1989 with the privatisation of the water industry. It inherited a water system suffering from a century of neglect but has brought the region's drinking water, sewerage systems and bathing waters into line with the most stringent UK and European Union standards.

This extensive programme of environmental improvement has resulted in some of the finest bathing waters in Europe, picturesque scenery and clean rivers with stunning wildlife.

    South West Water (SWW) contacted Proctors to update its website. The specific focus? Increasing traffic to www.southwestwater.co.uk by providing users with a more intuitive journey. SWW also wanted to reduce telephone contacts into its call centre and perform better in the ‘Utility Week’ usability survey – it ranked 9th last year.
