It outranks 'bricks and mortar' universities in the most recent student satisfaction ratings – no small achievement as around 150,000 undergraduate and more than 30,000 postgraduate students are currently enrolled. Nearly all study part-time, with around 70% of undergraduate students in full-time employment, and over 50,000 sponsored by their employers.
Proctors has worked closely with the OU to promote a number of courses, creating websites and DM campaigns with a focus on vocational training and continuing professional development. Target audiences include students themselves, alongside potential employer-sponsors.
