Avon Tyres produces specialist tyres for motorcycles, cars, 4x4s and commercial vehicles. This local manufacturer with global connections contacted Proctors for help promoting their ranges to dealers across Europe. One of the biggest challenges lay in communicating the enormous variety of options available to resellers and their customers.
The Proctors response
So you’re a busy tyre dealer, with a range of suppliers to choose from. What will make you favour one over another? Great products at a great price? Of course. But more than that, products that are easy to source and sell on. Since Avon already has products and prices covered, it was Proctors’ job to make their range really stand out when it came to sales collateral for 2009.
The trick to creating a great sales guide is to provide all the facts and figures, plus a little something extra to convince customers with. And that’s just what the new databooks we created for Avon did. As well as easily accessible specifications for the entire product ranges, they included USP-focused descriptions, background information and interesting details about Avon as a company.
Look and feel was also refreshed: conceived, designed and written with a Pan-European audience in mind from the outset, and they are printed in five languages.
Our relationship with Avon is ongoing. In fact, they were so pleased with our progress, that they tasked us with producing a new website for the business, as well as generating a range of collateral, ranging from calendars to competition promotion materials.
