South West Science and Industry Council had successfully developed a strong relationship with the South West RDA. By working together, these organisations have acted as a catalyst for innovation in large and small enterprises.
This work was supported by Innovation Forums and Making Science Work – events designed to showcase technologies and industrial success and so catalyse further collaboration amongst industry, research institutions and academia.
The Council asked Proctors to refresh its current identity to more effectively reflect its ties with the South West RDA and the business community. This required an identity that could pull together many different organisations and put forward a clearly identifiable brand.
The Proctors response
With this in mind, Proctors delivered two responses to the brief:
An effective Corporate Identity for SWSIC
This includes letterhead, business cards, website, newsletter, exhibition equipment, font and recommended usage guidelines.
An overarching brand for Science South West
This new brand flows from the SWSIC corporate identity, and is planned to roll out across letterheads, business cards, website, newsletter, exhibition equipment, font and recommended usage guidelines.
The key document within this second brand is the Science and Innovation strategy. The appearance and style of this document, and incorporated strategic investment framework, formed a core of part of the project.
