Pistonheads competition Promotional web banners.

One of the most interesting digital projects we have completed for Avon tyres must be the promotional online banners for the Pistonheads competition – a successful initiative to build awareness of the Avon brand.

The Proctors response 

Using an expandable MPU on the Pistonheads website, the competition ran over three months with two prizes – a pair of VIP tickets to an Avon Tyres British GT Championship race, or a set of 4 ZV5 tyres. Full rich-media content drove people to the Avon site to enter the competition by leaving their details, before finding out more about Avon tyres, or finding a dealer local to them.

The results With over 500 responses over just three months – Avon was delighted, and data was captured to allow for cross-platform marketing. In the mean time, we also delivered a full range of supporting online collateral, including animated leaderboards and adhoc animated GIFs to increase brand awareness for tyre dealers.
