Avon Tyres

Building on the success of our redesign of Avon Tyres’ main site, Avon asked us to focus our attention on its sister site, Avon Motorsport.

Relatively unchanged from the time it was first built, the Avon Motorsport site was in need of a significant update, both in terms of bringing its functionality into line with current expectations and its branding.

Despite the close links with the main Avon Tyres offering, it was agreed that a stand-alone site would be more appropriate to emphasise the difference between Motorsport and the more standard road tyres.

Once again an essential part of the challenge was showing the sheer breadth of the Avon Motorsport range in a more logical way. Firstly, we created a much clearer and more intuitive navigation system for Avon’s full range of Road legal, Motorsport and Historic tyres and enhanced the search functionality. The tread patterns of many of the tyres can be customised to suit particular classes and driving needs from classic and contemporary to wet and intermediate patterns. Delivering this information clearly and accessibly was also an interesting aspect of the work.

Along with these improvements, we incorporated an international Dealer Locator, and an easily navigable ‘Resource Centre’. Covering everything from tyre applications, ordering procedures, fitment guides, and safety information, this section of the site gives users access to the huge body of knowledge within Avon Motorsport to better understand and get the most out of Avon’s motorsport products.
