Cycle Block
Communication consultancy, Knit, needed a new way of communicating personalised reward information to employees, covering everything from share plans to bonuses. Their previous system just hadn’t been working for them – it was reliant on PDFs and was neither flexible nor secure enough for their needs.
Knit wanted a system that was not only easy for an employee to access but would let them interact with the system as well. What they were looking for was a single online resource, that allowed employees to view a personal website which detailed all their share plan information. And more importantly, a resource that didn’t require yet another set of login details.
How we helped
Always keen to take on a challenge, we worked with the award-winning Intimis platform and Knit to create a content management system. The two platforms allowed us to create a unique personalised URL (PURL) for each individual, which linked through to their own personal website – so no passwords to worry about! And since there was no financial data, there were no security issues.
Each employee could then see their own information as the content of the website was tailored to specific segments: Country-specific information for example, or content based on their participation in other rewards.
The finished product
The changes to the way reward communications work has changed massively following the launch of the new website. The first client to start using the content management system now uses it globally; over 90% of their employees now use the system we created with Intimis and Knit rather than receiving hard copy communications about their reward plans. By combining the considerable expertise and technology of Proctors, with Knit’s knowledge and experience of share plan communications, we could effectively deliver tailored and personalised share plan communications online. Not only tracking what employees are looking at and what communications they’re interested in, but going a step further and tailoring communications to their exact needs.
How the system performed
In the first month that Reward Talk launched, Knit had one plan with a 21.5% increase in take up year on year and the other plan saw the highest ever number of applications in one month, which was double the previous highest month.
