Axicom Website redesign and build

Axicom felt its website looked tired and didn’t reflect the current organisation. So it commissioned Proctor & Stevenson to design and build a content managed website using Drupal.

This creative thinking, specialist PR agency that has a great deal to offer, thanks to deep specialist knowledge of the IT sector – both B2B and consumer. It offers broad reach across Europe and the US, and provides big ideas backed up by deep knowledge. And it was impressed with our website, and wanted something very similar…

The Proctors response
To position and compete against the other main competitor PR companies of a similar size and reputation, it was important that Axicom came across as professional but also creative thinking. This is to appeal both to IT clients operating in B2B and B2C markets.

The quality and experience of Axicom people is key, so showcasing them through video and thought leadership, published through white papers and blogs was deemed important. They would also act as an ever increasing content driver in this more social marketing environment.

We used flash/Jquery code to create various front end features to help the user navigate the website. We also featured a front end flash/Javascript Show reel that integrated with the Drupal content management system allowing the content to be dynamically displayed based upon the data input by the end user.

Case studies and other content types were tagged to various nodes allowing for content to be easily linked and a core set of creatively designed header images were produced in order to kick off the first manifestation of the site.

The results
Ultimately we delivered a fully functioning, bug-free Drupal 6 content-managed website on time and to budget.  And, excitingly, the site will be rolled out by international Axicom hubs over the next year.
